FAQs
Are you experienced?
All of our sitters have had experience in pet sitting and many in the veterinary/animal industry specifically. Majority of our sitters are current or former team members of Vets of Geelong or Bellarine Vet, some of the most renowned clinics in the Geelong area. They all have experience working, interacting (and cuddling!) different animals of all shapes, sizes and personalities. Learn more about our sitters in the 'Meet the team' section.
What if my pet becomes sick or injured?
In the unlikely event that your pet becomes unwell or injured whilst you are away you will be contacted immediently. Your pet will be taken to the closest, readily available vet clinic or your preferred clinic depending on proximity and severity of the situation.
All vet bills will be the responsibility of the pets owner, however no treatment will be performed without your consent or knowledge.
However there is no need to worry! Our sitters take every precaution to keep your pet as safe as possible.
Where are you located?
Paws & Purr offer services for the Bellarine, Surf Coast, Central Geelong & surrounds for in-house pet sitting, visits and dog walking.
Our boarding homes are located in Drysdale, Leopold and Curlewis.
Fees may apply if you are located outside a 30km radius.
Are you police checked & insured?
We can assure you that Paws and Purr is insured and all of our sitters are police checked. We are happy to provide proof of this on request.
How do I make a booking?
Visit our Contacts tab to complete an enquiry form. Alternatively you are welcome to send an email or give us a call if you have any further questions. We will endeavour to return your response within 3 business days. For urgent enquiries please free to contact Molly on 0421935441.
Our sitters have had extensive experience with dogs and cats. We can also cater for birds, chickens and rabbits on request. We do not offer petsitting for other exotic species such as reptiles or large species (e.g. horses).
Do you care for exotic pets?
Is your boarding home safe?
All boarding facilities have a fenced off, secure backyard. We ensure there are no dangers inside the home or backyard areas. A puppy play date is organised prior to ensure your pup gets along with the resident dogs in the home. We still proceed to take extra caution, making sure the dogs are separated at all times if unattended.
Do you cater for anxious dogs?
We are able to cater for all types of personalities including anxious pets. Some of our sitters have more experienced in handling and accomodating anxious dogs than others. Please flag this in your enquiry so we are able to pair you with the appropriate sitter. We will make sure we take extra care to make sure your pet is comfortable and happy. Trial nights/visits can be arranged on request to assist with this.
Please keep in mind all of our sitters have their regular day jobs ontop of their pet sitting commitments. Rough work schedules such as times and durations can be discussed at the meet and greet with your specific sitter. We offer complete transparency and honesty from the get go to ensure you are comfortable with and aware of the amount of time the sitter will be out of the home before you book. Please keep in mind these will be estimated times. Unfortunately we do not offer 24/7 sitting.
